“It’s a great all year round destination with so many events across the year, from festivals throughout the summer months to Christmas celebrations in the winter. We try to make the lead up to the Christmas months special by seasonally decorating the cottage. 

This fabulous cottage  is great for couples wanting a romantic break or for two couples or friends who want to escape to the peaks for some fun and relaxation.

We welcome well behaved dogs who will love the local walks and village life.

There is ample parking directly adjacent to the property in the charming market square.

A great cottage, beautiful village ideally located and with everything we needed for our very short stay. Frank was friendly and flexible with our booking, and very quick to respond. Work commitments and the predicted snow shortened our stay sadly. For awareness of future guests, the village square was well lit from early eve throughout the night until approx 730am, which was great for parking and walking safely, but the blinds in the bedrooms did not block out the light and so bedrooms were pretty much illuminated. Another thing is the church bells continuously rang again throughout the night - from our disturbed sleep they rang every quarter/ half hourly. I tried to look this up as we were inquisitive, never having experienced this, we thought it was some kind of warning but couldn’t find any reference to them, maybe Frank could enlighten us? Overall a lovely cottage and great host and amazing scenery and walks. Thank you.

We had a lovely stay at The Snug over the New Year. The place has a beautiful cottage feel whilst also feeling spacious with plenty of room to relax. The hosts were excellent with their communication, and provided a thorough visitors guide. Tideswell is well worth a visit!

We had a fantastic week in The Snug. The house is lovely-well equipped, quiet, well located and very cosy. It was the perfect place to spend Christmas. Tideswell is a beautiful village with stunning walks straight from the door. We will definitely visit again.

From our arrival where we entered a warm-welcoming, immaculately clean and well prepared little cottage to our final day 3 nights later – totally brilliant!! The Christmas touches left around were lovely too. Everything worked well and both the beds were SOoo comfy. The wonderful log fire was perfect, and brought extra warmth to our special family Winter Solstice ‘Christmas’ meet up. Tideswell is a pretty village enjoying a great community feel. Would definitely recommend The Snug if visiting this area…
