Tideswell village is nestled in the heart of the Peak district and is one of the prettiest and most charming that you will find.
The church of St John the Baptist which is in the centre and sits at the rear of the Snug is known as the cathedral of the peaks and is well worth a visit. The village is a fantastic base to stay, not only is it in the Peak district National Park but its also close to so many attractions, walks, bike rides and other towns and villages such as Bakewell & Buxton.
The village has a great selection of shops, Pubs, cafes, restaurants and takeaways. and is surrounded by some of the most beautiful limestone uplands in the area.
There is usually plenty of parking in Market Square but if this is full there is on street parking close by.
You can easily walk around the village and grab a drink a bit to eat or browse the local shops, there are some great short walks that you can take and these are great if you need to exercise your dog before the end of the day or early in the morning. Its only about a 15 minute drive to Bakewell or Buxton Or you can catch the bus which stops by Fountain Square.
